The first 暗爽: The ambitions of a black brinjal
Once upon a time there a farm. In the farm, there is this extremely fertile patch of soil that all would like to be planted on so that they will grow beautifully. When the previous plant that was planted on this soil was harvested, it was up for grabs. So Brinjal and Beansprout were eying for this patch for them to grow, and Farmer A was deciding who will get to grow on that patch. Unfortunately, Beansprout caught planeumonia and had some other important plant stuff to do, hence it couldnt turn up for some key plant meetings. Farmer A then started to query on Beansprout's willingness and effectiveness as he has high expectations of the plant that grows from this patch. Hence, Farmer A then turns to Brinjal for help as he will need the money to help his family. Brinjal was excited, so it decided to announce to the entire world, especially to its friends, Pumpkin and Potato and all her old allies that she would be transferring to that wonderful patch, much to the dismay of Brocolli, Beansprout and Farmer AA. Thinking that Brinjal and Beansprout were friends previously, Brocolli asked Brinjal to inform Beansprout that it has been chosen for that patch, as what normally friends will do. Brinjal refuses, and Brocolli realised that Brinjal is not a really good vegetable, and that it is black seeded, thick skinned and rotten. Brocolli felt that this is not really fair to Beansprout, so it told it. Beansprout was angry, but couldnt do anything else but to hope that some form of miracle will appear.
Brinjal, being very cocky, continued to irritate Brocolli and Beansprout by announcing her move. One fine day, Brinjal, thinking that it has known the entire farm and its runnings in and out, decided to skip daily plant work by taking chase leaf, a kind of leaf that will allow it to go for grooming to become better Brinjal. It was found out by Beansprout and Farmer A and Brinjal's current boss, Farmer C-. In actual fact, Brinjal has misused the chase leaf. It should have gotten year leaf or no-money leaf to skip its plant work, but it doesnt have anymore year leaf to use, so it was forced to take no-money leaf by Farmer C-. Brinjal was displeased. Farmer A noticed it. Yet, it continued to shamelessly brag about her move. This irritated Brocolli very much, and Brocolli was really pissed.
Brocolli found a time to speak to Farmer A about the situation, and to try to make him realise that Brinjal is actually a lazy vegetable that will not help Farmer A eventually. Brinjal is also a vegetable that will not hesitate to infect other vegetable with worms to get ahead. Farmer A was wondering why Brocolli said it because Squash had said that Brinjal is a good worket. Farmer A also hoped that by putting Brinjal into that fertile patch, it can lessen the work of Brocolli. Brocolli doesnt think so, as it knows that Brinjal will just throw its work down for others to continue. Farmer A starts to agree a bit.
Spring comes, but Brinjal decided to take a year leaf to not do plant work on the first day. Farmer A notices with interest. A key event, SPO Planting is coming, and Brinjal was tasked to do a lot of work pertaining to the Planting, such as churning out Plant Paper, Plant Rolls, Plant sheets etc. Brinjal decided to procastinate. Eventually, the SPO Planting week came. None of the paper nor the rolls nor the sheets were generated. Farmer C Big Assistant was pissed. He and Farmer A were in need of those stuff urgently, yet Brinjal did not produce. Farmer C Big Assistant had no choice but to seek help from Beansprout and Brocolli. Farmer A was irritated why Farmer C Big Assistant had to come to seek help from Beansprout and Brocolli when he has Brinjal. Farmer A was also irritated that Brinjal was incapable of completing such a menial task properly, and he vented it on Pumpkin. He told Pumpkin that he is already having second thoughts on allowing Brinjal to come over to the fertile patch. Pumpkin, having low EQ and big CB mouth, went to tell Brinjal. Brinjal was angry, so it confronted Beansprout about Farmer A and that Farmer A and Farmer C Big Assistant did not know what they wanted from her, making her look very bad and incumbent. Brinjal also shouted at Beansprout about how Farmer A was useless, not knowing Farmer A was sowing seeds in the vicinity. When Brinjal left, Farmer A was so angry that he decided to see what was happening to Bransprout, and told Beansprout that he had heard every single thing that Brinjal shouted out, and was on the verge of coming over to ask Brinjal to fuck off from the patch she is standing on.
So for now, Brinjal, trying to save its stalk, decided to withdraw its decision to go to the fertile patch, much to the delight of Beansprout and Brocolli. And Farmer A has no intention on bringing Brinjal over to the fertile patch. There goes the dream of the Brinjal, all destroyed by its arrogance and noisiness.
